Bulkhead & seawall help·Destin
Your waterfront. Your next step.

How the referral works.
Who does what.

This page explains our role, your choices and how the site is paid for.

Our role

Destin Bulkhead is an independent planning and referral website. We are not a contractor, engineer, surveyor, insurer or public agency. We publish bulkhead and seawall guides and can arrange an introduction to a partner contractor.

A partner may not be available for every location or type of work. A request does not book an inspection, guarantee a visit or authorize any work.

When your request is shared

When you send a request and accept the consent notice, your request may be shared with a partner contractor. That way, they can discuss the work you described. We do not share it for unrelated marketing.

How the site is paid for

We may receive compensation for an introduction. You agree the scope, price and terms directly with the professional you choose, and you are free to decline any introduction.

You choose and check the professional

You decide whether to accept an introduction and whether to hire anyone. Before you sign, check the contractor’s state license and local registration.

  • Check both the company and its qualifying license holder on DBPR’s search. DBPR license guidance
  • In Destin, the city verifies state, county and local licenses and insurance for permitted work. City of Destin
  • In unincorporated Okaloosa, contractors need a county Competency Card. Okaloosa County
  • In Walton County, state-certified contractors must register with the county. Walton County

The contractor check guide walks through each step.

What the images show

The waterfront scenes on this site are generated conceptual images. They are not photos of completed projects, partner work or any particular property. Maps show general locations, not offices or service boundaries.
