What Destin Bulkhead is
Destin Bulkhead is an independent planning and referral website. We are not a contractor, an engineer or a public agency. We do not inspect, design or carry out bulkhead work.
We publish guides that help waterfront owners understand a problem, prepare for an assessment, find the right permit office and compare scopes. When you ask for help, we can introduce you to a partner contractor for the work you describe.

How the guides are researched
Our guides are built from primary sources. These include city and county codes, state statutes and rules, and federal agency pages. They also include NOAA and National Weather Service data and public bid records. Each local claim links to its source.
When a record is preliminary, old or unclear, we say so. When we could not confirm something, we leave it out or frame it as a question for the office. Read the full editorial standards, or start with the bulkhead guides.
